    After registrar and senior registrar training at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London I was appointed Consultant ENT surgeon at Barts in 1989. In 1992 I moved to the coast as Consultant ENT surgeon at Southend Hospital NHS Trust, where I practice as a rhinologist and otologist.

    I provide a service in extended applications in rhinology including endoscopic surgery of the sinuses and orbit/ lacrimal system and closed and open structure rhinoplasty for cosmetic and functional nasal deformity

    I am on the teaching faculty of the national courses In endoscopic sinus anatomy and surgery and in advanced skills in open structure rhinoplasty in Cambridge and Dundee.

    I also provide a service in complex otology viz stapedotomy, ossiculoplasty and combined mastiodectomy.

    I am audit secretary to the ENT department at Spire Wellesley Hospital, where we regularly audit our results against published national and international standards.
    Personal profile:
    My non-clinical interests include offshore sailing, golf, skiing and in quiet moments, classical music, literature and wine.
