I have been a Consultant since 2003 at Spire Wellesley Hospital and Southend University Hospital where my NHS practice is based. I aim to provide safe, evidence based, individualised and effective care to all patients who seek a consultation with me.

My areas of expertise include Management of Dysfunctional/abnormal Menstrual Bleeding, conservative management with tablets and conservative surgery and abdominal and Vaginal Hysterectomy. Management of Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) is another area in which patients have found my medical advice, help and support very beneficial and reassuring.

I offer management of Menopausal health and peri-menopausal problems for which I am Lead Consultant at Southend Hospital. This includes advice and counselling for HRT use. I assess, investigate and advise for post-menopausal bleeding cases.

I am also the Lead for Family Planning and offer termination of pregnancy privately at Southend Hospital. I offer contraceptive services for coil/Mirena insertion, tubal sterilisation both laparoscopically and by no cut method vaginally (Hysteroscopic Sterilisation)

My other area of expertise is Adolescent Gynaecology. I work closely with the Paediatric team to manage menstrual problems, vaginal discharge in the young and other issues that need my expertise. If necessary I also work alongside the specialist team at UCL London.

I deal with Initial Assessment for Primary and Secondary sub-fertility and advice regarding assisted reproduction referrals.

I offer all gynaecological surgery for uterine and vaginal wall prolapse and key-hole surgery for ovarian cysts and minor degree of endometriosis.

I offer private Antenatal care for low risk patients and private caesarean section and normal delivery only after initial consultation and assessment.

Apart form my specialist clinics at Southend Hospital, I have three clinics at the Spire Wellesley Hospital and I accept patients from the entire area of South East Essex.

Above and beyond my clinical work I am involved in postgraduate training of junior doctors, work as College Tutor for the Royal College and am involved with undergraduate teaching at St Bart's Hospital, London.  

I enjoy undertaking community service and charitable wok and, as a member of Rotary International, I am involved in various local, national and international charity projects. I have been involved in fundraising for Southend Hospital when I abseiled down Southend Civic Centre to raise funds for a Defibrillator on MB1 ward. I also walked the 199 miles of Offa's Dyke National Trail for COPES - the Gynaecological Cancer Charity.

I do find time to relax and unwind with yoga and meditation. I believe in living a healthy lifestyle and have delivered talks on GI diets and its advantages. I enjoy travelling and despite my busy work schedule I do aspire to travel around the world. Seen the penguins and polar bears.... Koalas yet to be visited.
