    Professional profile:
    I have a wide experience in general medicine, gastroenterology/endoscopy/respiratory medicine/infectious disease and geriatric medicine.

    I was a Lecturer in Clinical Medicine at Trinity College, Dublin University and held posts in Yorkshire and London and also worked in Industry undertaking Vaccine Research with The Wellcome Research Laboratories. I spent time in Bangladesh working in the field with staff of the Cholera Research Laboratory.
    Personal profile:
    Sociable by nature and interested (my family would say obsessed) with sport and fitness. I am President (and player - just!!) of a local veterans soccer team. Play squash to a reasonable standard, still run and ski when I can and am a fair weather motorcyclist. Partial to good beer and wine.
