Professional profile:
I qualified from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1993 and most of my medical and specialist orthopaedic training has been in the North East of England.

My main clinical interests are in hip and knee replacement surgery particularly complex and revision cases and those in younger patients. I completed a Fellowship in the specialist area in Auckland, New Zealand in 2005.

I was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sunderland Royal Hospital in 2005.
