Background Information 
Professional profile:
Mr Schenker graduated from Medical School in Wurzburg, Germany, in 1990. Experiencing the British Postgraduate Training in 1993, he decided to become a surgeon not in Germany but in the UK. After his basic surgical training in Cambridge and a Masters Degree at University College London Mr Schenker trained as a Plastic Surgeon in Leeds and Manchester. He completed his training with a specialist Aesthetic Fellowship in the Mersey and Manchester Region and a Hand Fellowship in Leeds.

Mr Schenker has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust since March 2006. He is a member of the Hand Surgery Team, but also provides general Plastic and Reconstructive surgery and a specialist service for skin cancers.

Besides Hand Surgery Mr Schenker's particular interest is in cosmetic surgery. He performs all types of cosmetic breast surgery including the short scar breast reduction technique.
