    Born in Egypt, I have been in the UK since 1977. I acquired all post graduate qualifications including the specialist register in the UK. I left the NHS after 18 years as a consultant having published in national and international peer review journals about various aspects of cataract surgery. I have trained as a registrar and senior registrar at the RVI in Newcastle and Sunderland eye infirmary. This helped me as a general ophthalmologist.

    I am now solely in private practice performing ophthalmic out-patient services including laser photocoagulation and anterior segment surgery including laser refractive surgery.
