    I have been an NHS consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology at Sunderland Royal Hospital since 1994, and previously a lecturer in obstetrics and gynaecology at the University of Aberdeen. I have clinical sessions in both obstetrics and gynaecology and have active research interests in labour management and miscarriage. I amDirector of Research for the Trust.

    I offer general gynaecological private care, including:

    Personal profile:
    I manage to maintain a busy professional and family life with two daughters (11 and 19). Outside medicine I enjoy skiing, rugby, golf and curry!

    Within medicine I lecture and teach nationally and internationally, particularly in the areas of obstetric emergency skills/drills training and early pregnancy complications. I am involved with training & recruitment in obstetrics and gynaecology at national level with chairmanship of RCOG educational committees.
