Background Information
Professional profile:

In Mr Moor's NHS consultant post he is part of the Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) for both 'Head & Neck Oncology' and Endocrine disease' where he is one of the specialist thyroid surgeons. Mr Moor sees and manages many patients referred from their GP's under the '2 week rule' with symptoms and signs that have raised concerns about possible malignancy. He therefore sees patients with a wide variety of lumps and bumps from different causes, including lymph nodes, thyroid and salivary glands.
Mr Moor also maintains a broad practice in general Ear, Nose and Throat conditions for both adults and paediatric patients, and has an interest in functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty.
Mr Moor trained at Leeds University and completed higher specialist training in ENT in the Yorkshire Deanery before completing his sub-speciality training (Head & Neck oncology and thyroid) with a Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship at the Freeman Hospital Newcastle.

Personal profile:

I moved up to the North East 2 years ago with my wife and 3 children and we all enjoy the wonderful Northumberland countryside and coast at every opportunity. I have recently completed the Coast to Coast cycle route and the Great North Run.I help coach the girls under 8 and under 9 football team and, when time permits I try to grow my own vegetables and fruit - with varying success!
