Jerry Ryan is a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon based at Sunderland Royal Hospital. He qualified in 1985 and was appointed to his current post at Sunderland Royal Hospital in September 1993. He trained at Liverpool Hospital, Queen Mary's University Hospital and Guys Hospital. During his training he completed attachments at The Mayo Clinic of Minnesota, The University Hospital of Minnesota and The Kenyetta Hospital in Nairobi.

He specialises in facial plastic surgery and the management of facial skin cancer. He is a member of the Northern Skin Cancer Sub-group and a founding member of The Sunderland Skin Cancer Multi-disciplinary Team and was also involved in the production of The Department of Health cosmetic procedures document.

He lectures on non-surgical cosmetic treatments such as fillers and anti-wrinkle injections, also skin cancer management and other aspects of facial deformity.

Non-surgical treatment performed is Obagi peels, fillers and anti-wrinkle injections. The surgical procedures performed include blepharoplasties, chin surgery, rhinoplasties, facelifts, pinnaplasties, brow lifts, scar revision, skeletal facial deformities and fat transfer to the head and neck region.

I am married with two daughters, four dogs, a cat and other animals.
