Professional profile:
Mr Jennings did his pre-clinical training in Cambridge before graduating from Newcastle in 1987. He subsequently did his basic surgical training in the northern region before moving to Leeds to do research in Anterior Cruciate Ligament injuries. Having finished his research Mr Jennings then trained in Orthopaedics in Yorkshire before returning to the North East as a Consultant.

Mr Jennings's practice involves mainly lower limb surgery. He has had extensive training in arthroscopic knee surgery in the Leeds area including ligament reconstruction. Mr Jennings has also developed an interest in unicondylar knee replacement. He has experience in the treatment of achilles tendon injuries without any external splints or plasters. He also has significant training in all aspects of trauma surgery.

Mr Jenningsis the undergraduate lead for orthopaedics in Durham and also the Research lead and they currently have a number of research projects on the go related to infection in joint replacement, sports injuries, joint replacement and trauma. As a result of this Mr Jennings was recently appointed as an honourary clinical lecturer.
