As a medical student, I studied at the prestigious St John Institute of Dermatology at St Thomas Hospital (London). This encouraged me to pursue a career in Dermatology. I graduated from Kings College London with Honours in Medicine, Surgery and Pathology. My further Dermatology training was undertaken at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and at University Hospital North Durham, where I now work as a Consultant Dermatologist. I was awarded an MD for my research into Lupus and have published extensively in several peer-reviewed journals including the British Medical Journal, American Journal of Medicine and British Journal of Dermatology. I have won 3 prizes from the British Association of Dermatologists for my presented work at national meetings. My work has also been presented internationally at both European and American Dermatology conferences.

I have been awarded research grants from Lupus UK and the British Skin Foundation and is Research Lead for Dermatology in County Durham and Tees Valley.

Please note that Dr Wahie does not do cyst removal.
