    I graduated from University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1986 and obtained my MRCP in 1989.

    I was appointed consultant gastroenterologist initially at Sunderland District General Hospital in 1996 and, since 1997, at South Cleveland Hospital, Middlesbrough.

    My special clinical interest is in upper GI cancer and I am a member of the upper GI multi disciplinary team.
