Dr Ashok graduated from University of Mysore, India and completed postgraduate training in General Medicine in Mumbai. She then undertook speciality training in Rheumatology and General Medicine from Oxford and Yorkshire Deanery.
Dr Ashok has had extensive experience in general rheumatology, osteoporosis and early arthritis.
Presently Dr Ashok is setting up Early Arthritis service at University Hospital of North Durham. She combines a busy clinical practice in rheumatic disease with a strong interest in medical education.
Dr Ashok is now settled in Durham with her husband and one daughter. Dr Ashok's interests include cycling, yoga, tennis, cooking and spending as much time as possible with family and friends.
