Spire Washington Hospital can offer you an up to date, fully equipped Endoscopy suite with Fujinon Colonoscopes, Gastroscopes and the new innovative nasoendoscope.

We are a small personal unit within the hospital and spend the time with patients giving them all of the reassurance and information they and their families need.

Our services include, C olonoscopies, F lexible Sigmoidoscopies, and G astroscopies. We are hoping to widen our expertise and are looking to be able to offer bronchoscopies in the very near future.

Our Gastroenterologists and Consultant Surgeons are from North East Hospital Trusts and they have a wealth of knowledge and many years of expertise.

Our urological services include Cystoscopy, Stent Removal, Urethral Dilation, V asectomy, TRUSS and Biopsy. All of our procedures are carried out under local anaesthetic and/or sedation.

Our day unit offers a wide variety of services including Dermatology where we remove minor lesions and carry out biopsies, reconstructions and flap constructions.

We offer gynaecological procedures including Llettz, C olposcopy and Mirena Coil fitting.
