Nick Boyle has held a consultant post at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust since 2000. He trained at Southampton, St Thomas’ and Guy’s Hospitals.
Nick specialises in gastrointestinal and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. His specialist interests include the treatment of hernias, gallstone disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux and obesity. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and holds a Master of Surgery degree from the University of London.
Nick trained as a general surgeon and therefore sees and treats patients across the whole speciality of general surgical conditions.
Nick’s research degree involved measuring stomach blood flow following surgery and the effect of drugs on gastrointestinal perfusion. He has published over thirty papers in peer reviewed journals.
Nick is married with four children. He is a keen cook and spends most of his free time eventing with his horse James.
