A patient of Mr Philip Reginald who recently had a procedure at Spire Thames Valley Hospital said the following about their stay:

"I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the staff who cared for me during my stay at the Spire this week.  

To Mr Reginald and his Anaesthetist thank you so much for being so excellent, funny and kind.

The whole experience of going under and then waking up was comfortable, no nausea and very little pain, and my scar is so neat and healing really well - Great Job! Thank you and your team.

To all the nurses who looked after me so well with their kindness, cheerful smiles and great senses of humour, who made sure I was comfortable and happy at all times, even when I was a little bit distressed - Thank you. I really appreciate how you have set me on the road to a speedy recovery.

To all the lovely ladies who brought me my meals and drinks each day, and then cleared them away, thank you so much, and to the chef who produced such lovely meals in the first place - thank you I really enjoyed the food. 

I would also like to thank the ladies who cleaned my room for me, it was quite a mess so good job! 

You have a wonderful team at the Spire. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and very good at putting patients like myself at ease at every step of the process. You should all be very proud of how well you do at helping people when they are at their most vulnerable.

One of our International patients who has been living in Italy for the past four years was recently a patient of Mr Gian Singer at Spire Thames Valley Hospital and said the following about their hip replacement surgery and experience at the hospital:

"On the day of the operation I felt quite calm since I had been involved in the preparations and had everything clearly explained to me.

"The operation went smoothly and I was so happy with the whole process - my rehabilitation and the standard of care I received. I always felt in control and that the people who were caring for me were there to do whatever was necessary to advance my recovery. This includes the nursing staff, at all levels, the physios and the overall supervision of Mr Singer. I also felt the atmosphere at Spire was very positive and beneficial to recovery - there seemed to be a very happy working atmosphere.

"I should also mention the physical environment of Spire Thames Valley Hospital is very pleasant and comforting to a new patient - the building is modern, bright, clean and fresh-looking, surrounded by green with views across the garden and willow trees onto which the rooms look out.

"I honestly feel that my experience at Spire Healthcare was completely positive and to anyone contemplating, perhaps with apprehension, undertaking a similar operation, please be assured it can be done, and completed successfully".  16/06/2011

A patient who recently came to Spire Thames Valley Hospital said the following about their stay in an email:

"I was in on Friday the 12th for a Knee Arthroscopy and this is just a quick thank you email. Probably like most people, facing any surgery can play on one's mind, but straight away I felt at ease and everybody was tops and all went smoothly and well.
