Background Information 
Professional profile:
My special interests are;
Prostate cancer diagnosis; using genetic tests, transrectal ultrasound and computerised prediction models. My aim is not only to diagnose prostate cancer but to determine prognosis.

Prostate cancer treatment; laparoscopic/robotic prostatectomy and HIFU. My goal is to make as little impact on the rest of the body as possible whilst effectively treating the cancer.

Urinary incontinence in women; Treatment depends on making the correct diagnosis, so I use urodynamics to identify women needing treatment with transobturator tapes or botulinum toxin where appropriate.

Stone treatment; using lasers that can destroy all stones.

My philosophy is to make a diagnosis as accurately as possible and then make a prognosis as to the likelihood of benefit, depending on the treatment options available. I perform as many tests as possible at the first consultation to give my opinions at the earliest opportunity.

I studied medicine at Guy's Hospital and trained in urology ion roations based at St Mary's Hospital, London. Lastly, I went to the Cleveland Clinic in USA to learn the techniques used in the minimally invasive surgery unit.

I work with two other colleagues as part of a team known as Windsor Urology. www.windsorurology.co.uk




Personal profile:
I was born in Hampstead and have lived in north and west London most of my life, until moving to Windsor. I met my Wife whilst presenting research at the American Urological Association in 1996 and we have twin boys.
Outside urology, my life revoles around my family, I enjoy tennis, wind surfing, running and, when possible, skiing.
