Mr Goddard graduated from Medical school in 1997. He commenced surgical training on the King's College Hospital, London, roation and completed his higher surgical training on the South East Thames Orthopaedic training scheme. He was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Conquest Hospital in 2009.
His special interests are knee surgery, knee arthroscopy and knee ligament reconstruction. He spent a year researching anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery and helped to develop and introduce a new surgical technique for reconstruction of the ACL.
Mr Goddard performed the first pioneering Signature Personalised Knee replacement in England & Wales, a new technology designed to provide patients with a unique tailor made knee replacement.
Mr Goddard is a memeber on international orthopaedic faculties and frequently lectures on ACL reconstruction, knee replacement and partial knee replacement surgery.
Mr Goddard's main clinical interests are:
Knee Instability and Ligament Reconstruction - He performs minimally invasive surgery using a hamstring tendon graft. He also performs revision ACL surgery using a variety of graft choices to meet Individual patient needs.
Knee Arthritis - He performs various operations for knee pain and deformity including, total knee replacements, partial knee replacement via a minimally invasive technique and patello-femoral joint replacement. He also performs revision knee surgery
Knee Arthroscopy - Mr Goddard performs keyhole knee surgery to treat a variety of knee conditions such as torn meniscus/cartilage.
