Mr Subramanian has published extensively in both breast and general surgery and has presented nationally and internationally. His particular interests are in local factors affecting breast cancer growth.

Mr Ash Subramanian works as an Oncoplastic breast surgeon at both Eastbourne DGH and Conquest Hospital in Hastings. His interests are in the management of all aspects of breast disease particularly in the restoration of shape and form following breast surgery, breast reconstruction following cancer operations and in cosmetic breast surgery. Outside his surgical practice he has an interest in training and education and also in effective communication skills within surgery.  He trained at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals and following this has worked with breast and plastic surgeons over the past 14 years in Surrey, London and Hampshire.

Although the majority of Mr Subramanian's leisure time is directed to his two young children, he has various interests outside of medicine. Mr Subramanian is a keen musician having been a Jazz and Blues vocalist with several bands as well as an internationally known close harmony choir. He is also a keen sportsman having played hockey and badminton to County level.
