At Spire St Saviour's Hospital, Hythe we have a number of highly skilled Consultant ENT surgeons who treat a number of conditions. Patients who suffer with Vertigo and other vestibular conditions often need additional support and therapy. Therefore, the Physiotherapy team at Spire St Saviour's Hospital will provide each patient with a full assessment and rehabilitation therapy in respect of there vestibular disorders. The treatment is specifically designed to assist patients with a number of conditions including the following: Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), Migrainous dizziness, Labyrinthitis, and Vestibular neuritis.
Referrals can be accepted from Consultants, GPs, and directly from self- referring patients.

Power Plate has been officially certified as a Medical Device and Consultants can now prescribe exercise on a Power Plate machine as part of a wider treatment plan to assist with:

- Aiding weight loss
- Increasing bone density and preventing bone mineral density loss related to ageing

Do I require a referral letter from my GP?
- For self-funding patients no referral letter is necessary
- Insured Patients do require a referral letter to be provided by your GP or consultant prior to your appointment being made
What happens at a physiotherapy appointment?
- A detailed history will be taken, followed by a thorough assessment of your condition
- You will receive expert advice and treatment and we will provide you with a personal recovery programme tailored to your needs
- With your permission our physiotherapists will liaise with your GP and provide a detailed discharge summary at the end of your treatment
- Our physiotherapists can also refer you to a consultant who can arrange diagnostic tests if necessary including X-ray, CT and MRI scanning.
