Dr Rand qualified at the University of Cape Town, South Africa and was based at Groote Schuur Hospital where he completed his Radiology training in 1990.
In 1993 Dr David Rand took up the post of Consultant Radiologist and Clinical Director of the Radiology Department at the William Harvery Hospital. Dr Rand has been the clinical lead in cross sectional imaging and is currently the MRI clinical lead.
Dr David Rand's expertise is in cross sectional imaging, including CT and MRI scanning relating especially to Musculo-skeletal problems and Neurology, including head and spine imaging. Dr Rand specialises in image guided biopsy procedures, including CT and ultrasound guided as well as ultrasound guided procedures for gynaecology.
