Spire International offers a range of medical services for patients who are not at the stage to travel to the UK, or who simply require an initial assessment by a specialist UK consultant.
Our remote services are for those who are not yet ready to travel or simply require a UK assessment.
Patients may include sports professionals or other individuals who request a specialist medical opinion in the UK in order to plan further treatment. Alternatively, medical professionals and medical referrers/sponsors may simply wish to seek an initial medical opinion from the UK.
Remote services from Spire
- Initial review of medical notes:
Referrers/sponsors can supply current and full medical notes which can be reviewed by a UK based consultant specialist. A medical report is then issued
- Remote reporting of scans:
Interpretation of scans and X-rays by a consultant radiologist. Report provided within 72 hours
- Remote consultation with a specialist consultant:
Consultations can be conducted via a web-link with interpreters provided. Medical report or summary provided within 72 hours
- Satellite clinics in the patient’s country:
Consultants in the UK with established links with universities and medical establishments abroad can hold out-patient clinics and may organise operating sessions
