Mr Sharma is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Worestershire Acute NHS Trust since his appointment in 2007. His training was predominantly at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Hospital and Moorfileds Eye Hospital in London. His fellowships were as senior gaucoma fellow at Oxford Eye Hospital and Moorfileds Eye Hospital.
Mr Sharma specialises in cataract surgery, with his sub-specialty interests in the management of anterior segment disease and glaucoma. He is expericenced in the surgical and laser management of complex glaucoma and optic nerve head imaging. He has lectured extensively on this subject and has published widely in the field.
