Miss Geetha Thurairajan is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Worestershire Acute NHS Trust since her appointment in 2000. She trained at Birmingham Eye Hospital and was a fellow at Birmingham Childrens Hospital.
Miss Thurairajan’s positions of office include; Secretary of the Midland Ophthalmological Society (2008-11); Secretary and organiser of the Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Society of the Midlands; Trustee of the Worcester Eye Trust Fund. She has published scientific papers in her field of expertise in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
Miss Thurairajan specialises in cataract surgery, with her sub-specialty expertise in the management of childhood visual problems and eye disease. She is expericenced in the surgeical management of childhood and adult squints and double vision, including the use of botuminum toxin and adjustable sutures techniques.
