Mr Baker’s primary interest is in the management of upper gastro-intestinal diseases both oncological (cancer) and functional. He has had extensive training in, and has taught, advanced laparoscopic techniques with particular emphasis on biliary disease and anti-reflux surgery. He also has a major interest in obesity surgery.
Mr Baker trained as a general surgeon and maintains this practice. He also performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
Mr Baker trained as a general surgeon in New Zealand before moving to the UK. He met his wife Danielle, and they now have 3 daughters, Emily, Caitlin and Isabel.
