Specilialty lead to UK Clinical Research Network in Reproductive Health
Ying Cheong is trained and specialised in fertility treatment and fertility surgery, both laparoscopic (key hole) and open surgery. She completed her research in ‘Adhesions in reproductive health’ when she was a research fellow with Professor Ian Cooke, Professor Bill Ledger and Professor TC Li in Sheffield. She competed her training in the Wessex region as an obstetrician and gynaecologist and has dual accreditation in the subspecialty of Reproductive Medicine (fertility). Since then she has continued her work in this related area and has written extensively in the area of adhesions in pelvic pain as well as fertility and the uterine environment. She has obtained multiple research grants in this area and is also a referee to many gynaecological journals. She is currently one of the consultants running the Southampton Fertility Unit in the Princess Anne Hospital.
