I am pleased to see children and adults with general ENT conditions. My sub-speciality interest is dealing with ear related problems, including hearing loss in children and adults, tinnitus, vertigo and balance disorders. In addition to general ENT procedures, I undertake a wide range of ear surgery including stapedectomy, closed cavity surgery for cholesteatoma and surgery for Meniere's disease.

I qualified from Oxford University before undertaking postgraduate ENT training in Winchester, Oxford, Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, London and Cambridge. I was awarded the inaugural Graham Fraser Fellowship, spending six months with Professor William Gibson in Sydney, Australia developing techniques in ear surgery with particular emphasis on cochlear implantation and surgery for Meniere's disease.

I took up my post as consultant ENT surgeon at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust in November 2000, following the retirement of Douglas Worgan. I have weekly out-patient clinics and an operating list on alternate weeks in Lymington.

With increasing sub-specialisation within the ENT department, I am a dedicated otologist undertaking specialised ear surgery. As part of a multi-disciplinary approach, I provide the ENT input for the management of otitis media with effusion (glue ear) in children with cleft lip and palate.

I see private patients for outpatient consultations and have regular operating lists at Spire Southampton Hospital and have regular private clinics in Lymington.
