Mr Richard Cole has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 1994, when he received his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training accreditation. His plastic surgery training was in London (St Thomas, Royal Marsden and Queen Mary's Hospitals) and Wessex (Regional Centre in Salisbury). Mr Cole is on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and has been an elected member of the Council of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons. He has also represented his specialty on the Senate of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons.

The majority of his private practice is cosmetic surgery including breast augmentation, breast reduction, abdominoplasty, rhinoplasty and eyelid reductions. Mr Richard Cole also performs minor procedures such as skin lesion removal and injections for the reduction of facial wrinkles and creases. He does laser treatment for a variety of conditions including thread veins, spider naevi and also for excessive hair growth. These lasers are located in Salisbury, where he is in charge of the laser clinic, but patients can be assessed for suitability at Spire Southampton Hospital.

Mr Richard Cole is a keen distance runner having run various marathons including the London Marathon twice, raising money for charity. Tennis, squash and five-a-side football . Other hobbies include pen and ink sketching and water colour painting.
