I trained in paediatric surgery and urology, and subsequently specialised solely in paediatric urology, in Dublin, Birmingham, Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Institute of Urology, London.

I am recognised as an international expert in the management of neuropathic urinary and faecal incontinence with over 90 publications in major journals.

I have developed the 'Malone Antegrade Continence Enema' (MACE) for the treatment of faecal incontinence - now practiced worldwide.

I am married with two teenage daughters. My interests include music, walking, reading and wood carving. I enjoy extensive international travel both lecturing and operating.
