Professional profile:
I qualified in 1988 with a primary sub specialty interest in paediatric orthopaedics. Part of this specialty included complex foot deformity. From this grew my interest in adult foot surgery. At the time there was no other orthopaedic consultant in Southampton primarily practising adult foot surgery and my practice grew to fill the vacuum.

Since that time I have developed this aspect of my practice to include advanced techniques in fore foot corrective surgery and ankle replacement. I have on going prospective audits on this work and have presented and published papers on the subject.

Almost the entirety of my private practice has involved adult foot surgery and this remains my prime interest.

My particular research interest is in improving outcomes and in particular attempting to shorten rehabilitation time.
