    On the General anaesthetic front I have maintained a broad experience of specialities and have routine lists in Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Urology and General Surgery, especially colorectal. To maintain my skills in other subspecialties I perform occasional lists in ENT and Plastic Surgery. Over the years the surgeons with whom I have worked have used me to anaesthetise their patients with complicated inter-current medical problems rather than the other anaesthetist(s) serving those surgeons. Despite my advancing years and the availability of younger and possibly more dynamic Consultant colleagues this situation still applies.

    I am married with 3 children.

    My outside interests :

    Anything to do with cars, F1 racing, Computers and IT, Walking,
    recent rediscovery of cycling, and (when nobody's looking) British Stamp collecting.
