"I have suffered for a number of years with problems with my neck and shoulder, which I have tried treating with physiotherapy, sports massage, osteopaths and latterly acupuncture, all with varying degrees of long-term success.
"It was then suggested that I try Pilates as this could help with strength and posture, in turn improving the discomfort experienced from my neck and shoulders.
"Classes are run by a physiotherapist immediately putting you at ease; they are small and start at beginner level, allowing plenty of one-to-one time with the instructor to ensure positions are correctly achieved. After three weeks of the eight week course, the exercises were starting to fall into place and I was becoming more confident and comfortable in working on the positions at home.
"After the eight weeks I felt my strength improved and flexibility increased hugely, particularly in my shoulders, where positions I was unable to do initially I was doing easily and at a more advanced level.
"I have signed up again to continue with the Pilates at the next level; the benefits have been huge for my condition and think they will continue to improve it."
