    Background Information 
    Professional profile:
    After six years of training in plastic surgery in London (North East Thames Regional Unit, The London Hospital, Whitechapel & St Bartholomew's Hospital), I obtained my certificate of higher surgical training and the Fellowship in Plastic Surgery and took up my current consultant post in Edinburgh in 1987.

    In the private sector, the majority of my work is cosmetic facial and breast surgery. I use liposculpture (liposuction & fat transfer), laser, Botox & fillers to compliment facial surgical work. In addition, I run a one-stop skin lesion clinic at the Ambulatory Care Unit of the Spire Murrayfield Hospital. This clinic offers patients immediate surgical or laser removal of skin cancer and cosmetic excision of moles following the initial consultation.

    Since May 2006 my NHS practice has been restricted to the care of children (mainly laser for birthmarks & surgery for congenital hand anomalies) working between St John's Hospital, Livingston & The Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh.
    Personal profile:
    In my opinion surgery is a full time occupation with little time for other interests or hobbies. Digital photography and current affairs are my two main non-surgical interests.
