    I qualified from Edinburgh University in 1986.  After junior and senior house officer jobs I obtained my Membership of the Royal College of Physicians.  I then entered the Edinburgh radiology training scheme.  I completed my general training, obtaining my Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, and sub-speciality training in obstetric and gynaecology, undertaking the RCR/ RCOG Advanced Training in Obstetric Ultrasound.

    I have been in my current post of Consultant Radiologist in the Ultrasound Department of the Simpson Centre of Reproductive Health since 1997 providing a clinical service, contributing to service developments and research projects.  I am on local and national committees recommending policy for Antenatal Screening in Scotland.
