Many of our patients travel from Aberdeen, Ayr, Dundee, Inverness, Stirling, Glasgow or even further afield to receive their treatment. We're an approximate 20 minute drive from Edinburgh Airport or 10 minutes from Haymarket train station. Regular buses serve the area well.

Our outpatient department is located in the main hospital building. No outpatient appointments take place in Beechwood House. If coming on foot, the main hospital is a short walk up a steep driveway from the nearest bus stop.

By rail

We're a 10 minute drive from Haymarket train station in Edinburgh.

By bus

Regular buses serve the area well; visit the Lothian Buses website for timetables and First Group Travel route map for further information. The hospital is a short walk up a steep driveway from the nearest bus stop.

By tram

The Balgreen tram stop is around a 15 minute walk to the hospital.

By air

We're an approximate 20 minute drive from Edinburgh Airport.

By bicycle

Parking

Free parking is available at Spire Murrayfield Hospital.

You'll find us to the south east of Edinburgh city centre. We're conveniently located close to the City Bypass and the Royal Infirmary. Our address is 10 Easter Shawfair, Edinburgh, EH22 1FE.

How to get here

By bus

The hospital is conveniently situated a five-minute walk from the Sheriffhall Park and Ride bus and car park terminus, to which Lothian buses travel frequently from Edinburgh city centre and beyond. Bus route 33 travels from Baberton in the South West of Edinburgh via Longstone, Haymarket, North Bridge, Cameron Toll and the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary to Sheriffhall.

The 49 bus is available for passengers travelling to or from The Jewel and Portobello through Leith. Visit Lothian Buses website for further information about routes and timetables.
