Spire Roding Hospital, Redbridge, Essex, is pleased to offer a day-case paediatric surgery service, for children aged 3 to 16 years old.
We offer a wide range of day-case procedures for children aged 3 and over.
Our service offers a wide range of treatments and operations - all available in the comfort of our local, clean, private hospital. Common medical conditions we're able to treat as private day cases range from tonsillectomy to grommets, inguinal hernias to ingrown toenails.
Paediatric (children's) surgery at Spire Roding Hospital is led by Charge Nurse James McCourt, Children and Young Person's Specialist Nurse (RSCN, RGN, PALS) who has over 20 years experience working in both the NHS and in private hospitals.
Young patients at Spire Roding are seen by a paediatric specialist consultant within their chosen area of specialty - whether it be dermatology, ENT, general surgery, oral surgery, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, general paediatrics, plastic surgery or urology - each with a minimum of 10-15 years experience of treating children within the NHS.
At their outpatient appointment, many children will be able to have minor procedures undertaken during the consultation. If surgery is needed, our young patients will be admitted at a mutually convenient time.
We know that when children need to come in to hospital, it can be an anxious time for the whole family – that’s why we offer children and their families an all-important opportunity to visit the hospital prior to admission, become familiar with the surroundings and meet the experts who will be involved in their care.
GP referrals are not required for self-funding patients.
