Cardiomemo recording

Patients from Essex and east London who come to Spire Roding Hospital for private cardiomemo recording are assured of a warm welcome in a clean and comfortable environment.

Cardiomemo recording is a method used by your cardiologist to monitor your heart's activity. Cardiomemo recorders are more useful in patients who have intermittent symptoms.

What's involved in cardiomemo recording?

The cardiomemo device is similar to a 24 hour ECG monitor. It is about the size of a mobile phone and you place it next to your heart whenever you feel symptoms so that it can record your heart’s activity. Unlike an ECG monitor there aren’t any leads attached to your chest.

Cardiomemo recorders are particularly useful for patients with intermittent symptoms that last for a minute or more every few weeks as you can carry the machine around with you without any attached wires. It is important to make sure that you have the machine with you at all times and can discretely place it on some bare skin on the chest when your symptoms appear.
