Background Information
Professional profile:
Mr. Sam Jayaraj graduated from London University (Barts) and completed general surgical and ENT training in the London region followed by higher subspecialty ENT training at Charing Cross, The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear and Great Ormond Street Hospitals.

In addition he has undertaken advanced subspecialty training abroad in Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery (U.S.A., Denmark, Switzerland) and Otology (The House Ear Institute, LA).

As a result, although a General Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon, he has particular subspecialty interests in Rhinology (endoscopic sinus surgery, septal surgery, allergy, septorhinoplasty, snoring, nasal polyps, nose bleeds), Facial Plastic Surgery (cosmetic rhinoplasty, pinnaplasty/bat ears correction), Paediatric Ear, Nose and Throat disorders and Otology (ear infections, ear drum perforations, hearing and dizziness).

He has published and presented extensively (over 30 papers), was a member of the Surgical Training Committee (London Deanery) and has been a faculty member and lecturer at courses and meetings at national and international level.
He has won several prestigious awards (in particular, best otology presentation at The Royal Society of Medicine 2002, The RCSEng travelling Fellowship 2003 and The European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship 2004 enabling visits to centres of excellence in the U.S.A and Europe respectively).
Personal profile:

I was brought up locally and it is now great to be back in the area. I am married with three young children.

I enjoy travel whether professionally (at International conferences) or socially and my favourite holidays have been on safari in Africa, visiting the great sites of India, experiencing the culture of European cities and skiing.

To keep fit I play tennis, ski and run around with my kids (particularly exhausting!).
