Mr Nitesh Patel graduated from Manchester University where he was awarded an MBChB degree with honours for his outstanding overall performance, attaining honours in six undergraduate subjects.

He completed his Higher Surgical Training in ENT Surgery in London, working through units of excellence such as the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear hospital, National Hospital for Neurosurgery and Great Ormond Street Children's hospital, and was awarded the Gold Medal by the Royal Society of Medicine for 1st Rank in the National (UK) Intercollegiate examination in ENT Surgery with award of FRCS(ORL-HNS).

Mr Patel has been granted Certificate of Completion of Training by the Postgraduate Medical Education Training Board (UK) and currently holds substantive NHS consultant posts at Whipps Cross University and Newham University hospitals in London.

He was awarded the JLO Fellowship to travel to the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles for further higher subspecialist training and has also attended the prestigious Causse Clinic in France. He also has a current practice license for the prestigious Harley Street in London.

Although he manages all general ENT conditions, his specialist interests include ear and balance disorders, nose and sinus problems, children's ENT disorders, voice problems and snoring.
Personal profile:
Mr Patel has a keen interest in teaching and examining both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is a Faculty member and invited speaker for several courses held at Whipps Cross University Hospital. He is also Faculty member for the Royal College of Surgeons in Englands eSTEP programme.

He enjoys doing charity work and was part of a voluntary service group involved in Feeding the Homeless Project that was awarded the Queens Golden Jubilee award for voluntary groups in the community.

Mr Patel regularly does voluntary medical relief work in rural India, as visiting ENT Surgeon to the Sathya Sai hospital.
