Background Information
Professional profile:
I am a Consultant at Whipps Cross University Hospital. I have concentrated my practice on treating problems of the upper limb. At Whipps Cross Hospital, I am referred the difficult fractures of the upper limb by my Consultant colleagues. By using the latest methods of internal fixation, the time patients spend in a plaster cast is greatly reduced.

I perform shoulder operations such as rotator cuff repair, shoulder decompression, stabilisation for recurrent dislocation and shoulder replacement .

Around the elbow, I operate on tennis and golfer's elbow, and decompress the ulnar nerve. At the wrist I excise ganglions, perform percutaneous and open scaphoid fracture fixation, and carpal tunnel decompressions.

In the hand I perform trigger finger release, de Quervains decompression, and fix fractures of the hand bones. I have a particular interest in Dupuytren's disease (Dupuytren's contracture), and am one of the few surgeons in London regularly performing needle release in the out-patient clinic known as Needle Aponevrotomy or NA, Needle Aponeurotomy or Percutaneous Needle Fasciotomy (PNF).

I am on the national faculty for the British Society for Surgery of the Hand instructional courses, and the AO Hand Fracture fixation courses. I am an invited lecturer on the European Acumed Upper Limb Fracture Fixation course.
Personal profile:
I have lived in London most of my life. My Orthopaedic training was at St Mary's Hospital, The Royal London Hospital and the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston USA.

My outside interests include my family, computers, sailing and music.
