Aman Bhargava has broad general surgical training in both open and laparoscopic surgery and advanced skills in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for gallbladder disease, groin hernia repair, abdominal wall hernia repair including incisional hernia repair. Mr Bhargava is also fully trained to perform anti-reflux operations for gastro-oesophageal reflux (GORD).
Mr Bhargava is skilled in advanced laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer and performs approximately two thirds of his resections using this developed technique.
Aman Bhargava is a fully trained endoscopist in both upper and lower gastro-intestinal endoscopy. His training has reduced patient recovery time for major abdominal operations. Mr Bhargava's hernia series runs to about 200 inguinal hernias performed laparoscopically across the NHS and private sectors. Aman Bhargava has one of the biggest series of incisional/ventral hernia repairs for umbilical, paraumbilical and incisional hernia, over 200 cases at the end of 2008 which have been reviewed by peer review groups both nationally and internationally.
