Background Information
Professional profile:

Mr Ahmad Ali is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Spire Hartswood hospital in Brentwood, Essex and Spire Roding hospital in Redbridge, Essex offering private complex knee surgery and general orthopaedic surgery in our clean and comfortable private hospital.

Mr Ali trained in Oxford and Sheffield and on the Northwest high surgical training program. As his training was gained in three regions, this gave him a broad experience and insight into managing complex orthopaedic conditions.

Mr Ali spent one year as a knee fellow where he had the opportunity to develop his specialised skills in the management of complex knee problems including multiple ligament reconstruction, knee replacement and repeat knee replacement (known as revision surgery). During his training, Ahmad Ali also worked in two major specialised units in Canada.

Ahmad Ali joined Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust in 2003.  He is now a consultant knee specialist at Queens Hospital in Romford, Essex  and at King George Hospitals in Goodmayes, Essex. Here he has been involved extensively in research and teaching.

Mr Ali is a user of computer navigated surgery, which increases the accuracy of knee replacement surgery and improves the longevity and functioning of the artificial joint. Combined with his skill and experience, Mr Ali believes that computer navigated systems are an invaluable tool which enhance the outcome of the total knee replacement.
