Miss Watson has been a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist for 5 years. Prior to that, she trained at many of the local hospitals in and around London, including several in north and east London and Essex.
Miss Watson is Lead Gynaecology Consultant at her NHS hospital, and leads the busy Acute Gynaecology Unit, seeing patients with early pregnancy problems, suspected cancer and other urgent problems.
Since becoming a consultant, she has introduced several new procedures and services, such as the outpatient hysteroscopy clinic, and outpatient treatment for many gynaecological conditions, which previously required a general anaesthetic.
Miss Watson specialises in gynaecological ultrasound, including 3D, ambulatory and minimal access gynaecological surgery, as well as early pregnancy problems, such as recurrent miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy.
She also specialises in fetal medicine and obstetric ultrasound and undertakes invasive procedures during pregnancy. In addition, she also specialises in major gynaecological operations such as abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy and myomectomy for very large fibroids.
