    Dr Hameed's background is in general paediatrics, but he has interests in paediatric neurology/neurodisability.

    In the four years prior to becoming a consultant, Dr Hameed trained in neurology and neurodisability in addition to general paediatrics and neonates. Part of his training was at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, with Dr John Wilson and at UCLH, London, with Dr Martin Bellman. He was then appointed Consultant Paediatrician at Redbridge Healthcare Trust.

    Dr Hameed has published four research projects and is involved in the European multi-centre study on cerebral palsy. Mr Hameed keeps his knowledge up-to-date by attending national and international conferences in paediatrics and receives relevant journals. He contributes to the teaching of doctors and staff, and has also organised courses for the general practitioner.

    Dr Hameed is an examiner for the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health and University College, London.
    Personal profile:
    Since I was a student I have loved to travel and visit places of interest. Other interests include photography especially making video films of my travels, the arts and gardening.
