Mr Quayle qualified in Sheffield in 1975. He was appointed Lecturer in Surgery in Sheffield in 1980 where his research interests, including his Masters thesis concentrated on the metabolic aspects of surgical care. From 1985 to 1989 he spent further time training in the Sheffield hospitals where he developed special interests in gastro-intestinal surgery, including endoscopy (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP) and Thyroid and Parathyroid surgery. He also performs laparoscopic gall bladder and hernia surgery.He commenced his present Consultant post in Macclesfield in 1990.
