Mr Davison graduated in 1975 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. In the same year he commenced training in Plastic & Reconstructive surgery and attained his Intercollegiate Plastic Surgery Fellowship in 1990. He was appointed to his current NHS post in 1988. Mr Davison is a fully accredited plastic surgeon and is entered on the specialist register for plastic surgery with the General Medical Council (GMC). He is also a member of BAPRAS and BAAPS. Mr Davison joined the breast care team at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire NHS Trust some 15 years ago and continues to offer reconstructive support for patients undergoing breast and skin cancer surgery and is recognised as the regional network reconstructive surgeon for pateints with pelvic cancer.
Mr Davison carries out a wide range of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is frequently asked to assist colleagues in other disciplines when faced with technically demanding problems involving soft tissue loss.
Mr Davison is an experienced Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who is involved at the cutting edge of the development of Plastic Surgery training in the United Kingdom and is the lead clinician for plastic surgery training in the West Midlands Region.
Mr Davison continues to publish in national journals, offering innovative solutions to difficult problems that he has come across in clinical practice, such as eyelid repair and vaginal reconstruction.
Mr Davison enjoys walking, mountain biking, skiing and scuba diving. He also enjoys gardening and is a member of the National Trust and RSPB.
