Mr Walker comes from Chester and attended Sheffield University Medical School. During this time Mr Walker ventured to Krishnankoil Rural Eye Hospital in South India for an influential elective period with Dr Vivek, and won the national ophthalmology under-graduate Duke-Elder Prize in 1993. Thereafter Mr Walker undertook ophthalmic specialist training at the Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology in Glasgow and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. Mr Walker gained additional fellowship experience at King's College and St Thomas' Hospitals in London. Mr Walker was appointed as Consultant Ophthalmologist at Leighton and Macclesfield hospitals in 2004.
Mr Walker values greatly the art of medicine and skill of ophthalmic surgery, and places the utmost importance on patient information, quality and safety.
Mr Walker enjoys his free time with his family, takes green issues seriously and particularly likes walking and cycling.
