Dr Booton was appointed Clinical Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Respiratory Physician at The University of Manchester and North West Lung Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester in 2008 after accreditation in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine. His clinical interests include all aspects of respiratory medicine including the clinical management of thoracic malignancies and the application of advanced endobronchial techniques. His research interests include the exploration of the molecular pathology of early stage lung cancer and its application to the early detection of disease. He is Treasurer and founding member of the British Thoracic Oncology Group & member of the Council of Regents for the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
