I qualified as a doctor from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School in London in 1987. I was medical SHO in Leicester and obtained my MRCP there. My MSc and was in Infectious and Tropical Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine with my thesis on Leischmaniasis.
I held Registrar positions in Jersey and Leeds and had higher specialist training in medicine and gastroenterology in Birmingham.
I was appointed to Tameside General Hospital as Consultant Physician and Gasteroenterologist in 1998 where I have worked as a full time general physician and Gasteroenterologist. I am now the clinical lead for gastroenterology at Tameside General Hospital.
I am married with two children and live in Bramhall. My interests are playing tennis, running, playing the guitar,keeping chickens and growing vegetables.
