The February OWLSS Weight Loss Support Evening was held at the Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield.
A big thank you to everybody who attended the OWLSS Group Meeting at the Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield on 10 February 2010, considering the mixed weather conditions members would have endured to get there!
Your attendance inspired us and we covered a lot of ground, in terms of head hunger and how we as individuals manage this on a daily basis, which in turn led to several other topics being discussed. These included pre-op/post-op diets, chewing and eating food more slowly, information sharing with friends, and how their attitudes change once we lose weight.
At the April meeting we are hoping to secure the attendance of Mr Agwunobi as guest speaker to talk about the various gastric procedures. We anticipate a good attendance which will give people the opportunity to meet their surgeon and put to him any questions they may have.
We are also pleased to report that the newly-appointed plastic surgeon at the Spire Regency will be Guest Speaker at the May or June meetings to talk about corrective surgery.
Please can we ask all members to please remember this is your group and without you it would not be possible to share our combined wealth of knowledge to advise and support new members along their journeys. If you have any ideas or wish to discuss a certain topic at the meetings please do not hesitate to contact us.
